Bioceb Academic Rules

Information about the attendance of courses, re-sit possibilities and minimum requirements for validating each EMJM-Bioceb semester, are available in the Student Agreement.

In particular:

  • Attendance is mandatory to every class, examinations and joint Bioceb activities, as well as completion of mandatory assignments.
  • All students have to acquire a minimum 120 ECTS. In order to enter in the second year of the programme, the first 60 ECTS of the programme have to be validated.
  • No extra ECTS can be required from students, even though some can be offered if they participate in additional activities. Such extra ECTS would not be able to compensate for mandatory ECTS.
  • Students have to validate each module (no compensation possible among different modules) in order to finalize the programme and obtain the degrees.
  • Retakes are organized as often as possible in the initial exam-taking institution. If impossible and/or in order to limit travel costs for students, the following Partner institution offers the opportunity to organize the re-sit in its premises according to the previous institution rules.
  • The Board will evaluate case by case any exceptional situations.

In order to simplify the recognition procedures of the training activities carried out at the partner institutions of the Bioceb Consortium and to enhance transparency and mutual trust in the framework of the EMJM Bioceb, the Bioceb Consortium agrees on the following table of conversion of national grades.
