Bioceb has a proactive approach to inviting guest lecturers fit for the purpose of the programme: professors or socio-economic players from associated partners, alumni or any other relevant stakeholders from all over the world.
Contribution of guest lecturers in the curriculum
The most relevant experts are selected to complement Bioceb curriculum, based on the needs of students, while building on the opportunity brought by this scheme to strengthen the partnerships with associated academic institutions. The guest lecturers can either be contacted by the Consortium, or apply on their own initiative to deliver a lecture. They can participate in different joint or local teaching modules, for instance:
- “Bioeconomy Week”, organised each year in AgroParisTech in collaboration with Neoma Business School, including experts from many European universities.
- At ULiège, Bioceb students can attend extra-teaching activities organised in the frame of the bioengineering master, especially talks given by visiting professors (existing collaborations). Students thus can attend conferences dedicated to the design of new bio-based materials, microbiology, bioenergy, biology, etc.
- Associated partners and alumni are often invited to deliver lectures.
A rigorous follow-up of scholars is carried out, enabling Bioceb to build up a solid socio-economic and academic network.
