EMJM scholarships will be available for the 2026-2028 cohort!
EMJM Scholarships
The EMJM scholarship covers:
- Participation costs
- A subsistence allowance of €1,400/month (covering travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs) for the entire duration of the programme, pro-rata of the actual number of days (maximum 24 months) => maximum amount per student €1,400 x 24 = €33,600.
- Study, research, placement activities, thesis preparation and defence, in line with the requirement of the joint Master.
Students who have previously obtained an Erasmus Mundus scholarship are not eligible to apply for an additional scholarship.
Bioceb is entitled to grant 50 EMJM scholarships for the entire duration of the project (approximately 12 per cohort). EMJM scholarships can be offered to students from all over the world. However, Bioceb consortium must ensure geographical balance – i.e. no more than 10% of the total number of scholarships awarded during project implementation will be awarded to candidates from the same nationality.
In addition, Bioceb master can also offer up to 18 additional EMJM scholarships the entire duration of the project (according to a specific breakdown) to students from certain targeted regions of the world: Region 3 (South-Mediterranean countries), Region 5 (Asia), Region 6 (Central Asia), Region 7 (Middle East), Region 8 (Pacific), Region 9 (Sub-Saharan Africa), Region 10 (Latin America), Region 11 (Caribbean).
Erasmus+ mobility grants for the second year of Bioceb
Self-funded Bioceb students have the opportunity to seek an Erasmus+ mobility grant to aid in covering the expenses related to their second academic year within the programme, whether in Finland or Belgium. The Erasmus+ grant, approximately €200-300 per month based on the destination country, aims to assist the students with some of the supplementary expenses during the second year of studies. Nevertheless, this grant does not fully cover all expenses and should not be solely relied upon to meet essential living costs.
General scholarship opportunities for all students
Applicants are encouraged to search for external funding as early as possible.
Bioceb Secretariat can assist students in their scholarship applications, if relevant.
